Record™ Carbon Seat Post

Lighter with double adjustment possibility. That’s the new Record seatpost. The top head clamp is now in carbon fiber for greater lightness. The groove in the head has been halved in size, which doubles the angles at which the seat can be tilted. Available in the 250-mm version with a 27.2-mm diameter and in the 350-mm version with diameters of 31.6 and 32.4 mm.

Fixing clamp

A Campagnolo clamp that has been specially designed for the Record carbon seat post is supplied with every model.
This type of clamp is not only one of the lightest on the market at 21 gr but also embraces a revolutionary tightening system for maximum safety.
The asymmetrical design of the Campagnolo clamp and the proximity of the locking screw to the seat tube are intended to prevent damage, unlike conventional symmetrical bands with a locking screw some distance from the stem.
Tightening a locking screw positioned at a distance from tube means that a traditional symmetrical band exerts irregular pressure on the circumference of the seat post tube, crushing it and increasing so the risks of structural failure.
The asymmetrical design with the locking screw almost at a tangent to the seat post tube ensures uniform band pressure over the entire circumference of the tube, thus reducing the possibility of damage.
