Word is already out: Racers lucky enough to competition-test the Reynolds SDV66 T are smothering it with praise. But this comes as no surprise. After all, we designed the SDV66 series (Super Deep-V) wheel with the single focus of making the response quicker, the weight lighter, and the performance faster than any wheel currently on the market. Designed with Reynolds proprietary advanced lay-up technology, the SDV66 T boasts a 66mm rim depth, and a symmetrical, air foil shape recognized by the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA) as having one of the very lowest drag coefficients. This unique design permits a shorter spoke length for a lot less drag than other deep section wheels that can ride harsh. Or, as they say in engineer-speak, the optimal balance of rim depth for ride quality, stiffness and performance. Amen to that.
