Emitter: The Joystick uses one Cree XPG R5 LED. The Cree XPG R5 is a more refined, higher quality LED of the same type used in the 2011 range. It keeps the same great beam patterns and colour temperature but the light has an additional 7-10% output over last year’s models. We are quoting 325 lumens per LED rather than the 300 in 2011. We have also continued to work on the optics so in lights such as the Joystick there is a greater improvement than seen in the quoted increase.

Our new range of MaXx lights already have impressive burn times which are more than adequate for most people. However, the "Piggyback" battery feature allows the burn times to be extended almost to the point of infinite! Simply by plugging a "Piggyback" battery into the charger port and attaching the extra battery beneath your stem you can add burn times equivalent to the Joystick or Enduro MaXx. Our "Piggyback" batteries use new cell technology manufactured by the World leaders in Lithium Ion battery technology - Sanyo. The idea of the Piggyback battery is to plug the battery into the light at the start of use. This will allow you to use the light on MaXx, Ride and High for a largely extended period of time. If the battery is plugged in with the light half charged, the Ride and Low modes will be avilable.

2012 sees the Spark get introduced to the CREE XPG LED. Previously using a Seoul product the Spark has increased from 220 lumens to 255 lumens.

The Spark can be used with disposable or recyclable batteries whilst still benefiting from the Mode and Fue Gauge Button.

2012 improvements bring a new knurled back cap which makes the rear cap super easy to remove.
